This fall, we will be hosting our 11th Annual Power Hope Awards, honoring individuals whose lives inspire hope in others and who make positive impacts in the Chicago community. Prior award winners have included 101.9 FM’s Viotella Podrumedic, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, the NFL’s Matt Forte, and @Properties’ Emily Sachs Wong.
Join us in shaping a future where access to food, housing, and healthcare is the reality for all!
Power Hope Awards is the single most important day of the year in raising the funds that power Care for Friend’s life-saving and transformative programming.
Your ticket and generous gift makes it possible for thousands of our neighbors to receive holistic wrap around services and participate in a community that respects and loves them.
As a community hub, Care for Friends tackles Chicago’s food, housing and healthcare crises through an all-inclusive, no questions asked approach to providing easy access to critical resources.
We aim to earn the trust of our guests and break down the barriers preventing them from connecting to the services they need. With no sign-in requirements or barriers to entry, we serve individuals often underserved by traditional systems.
Today, Care for Friends:
Operates across multiple locations in Chicago (on both north and south sides of the city)
Serves hundreds of hot, nutricious meals each week
Delivers groceries to families across 30 wards
Connects guests to housing, healthcare, and job-training partners
Engages 2,800 volunteers annually
